Olivia Wilde Tron Legacy Reproduction

This is my first attempt at a color reproduction of a photograph. I spent a lot of hours tweaking this and that, experimenting with painting a variety of textures, drawing patterns, and creating realistic metallic surfaces. It's not perfect, but it's damn close to the best thing I've done.

Lots of grids, lots of color adjusting, lots of going AAAAAAGH and restarting layers.

Part of the reason it took me so long is I had to figure out how to make a lot of different textures look realistic. Her back piece is made of some shiny metal thingie, and her skin is lit up with blue light. She also has these patterns on her costume that was a pain in the ass to draw.

All in all, there were many times when I thought that I wasn't going to be able to get the effects I needed, but time and trials got me through. I am satisfied with the result.
